Opening a Melty franchise is a process with clear milestones. Here's what you can expect from your first inquiry to the day you open your doors.

INITIAL INQUIRY & DISCOVERY
Submit the contact form or request our Franchise Information Kit. We'll follow up within one business day to schedule a discovery call with our franchise development team. No pressure — this is a conversation, not a sales call.

FRANCHISE DISCLOSURE & REVIEW
We'll send you our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) — the full legal document that gives you everything you need to evaluate this opportunity. You'll have a minimum of 14 days to review it with your lawyer and accountant before signing anything.

DISCOVERY DAY
Qualified candidates are invited to visit a Melty location for an in-person Discovery Day. You'll meet the leadership team, see the operation firsthand, eat the food, and ask every question you have. This is where the relationship gets real.

FRANCHISE AGREEMENT & BUSINESS COACHING BEGINS
Once we're both confident this is the right fit, you'll sign your Franchise Agreement and be assigned your dedicated Melty Business Coach. From this point forward, you have a human being in your corner — coordinating your site search, business plan, funding, and build-out.

SITE SELECTION, BUILD OUT & TRAINING
Your Business Coach guides you through site selection, lease negotiation, architect coordination, contractor selection, and build-out. Simultaneously, you and your GM complete the two-week Melty training program at our Utah flagship location.

GRAND OPENING
Our team comes to you. Corporate team members are on-site before and after your opening to train your crew, run your grand opening events, and make sure your first week is everything it should be. Welcome to the Melty family.
From signed Franchise Agreement to Grand Opening typically takes 6–9 months, depending on site availability, construction timeline, and permitting in your market. Your Business Coach will give you a project-specific timeline at the start of your engagement.
